Every week my email inbox is overflowing with marketing emails that, for the most part, are not very interesting. But a few weeks ago I got a email from the guys at LearnWebDevelopment.com that really caught my attention. I met these guys at a conference last year and they invited me to check out their program. After spending some time with them and exchanging a slew of emails, I realized they had a pretty unique program and this was something my readers would be interested in.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I want to be extremely transparent with my readers. Here’s Why You’ll Like Them

If you think you need an expensive college degree to get a job in web design you’re wrong. Web design DOES NOT require a fancy degree from a four-year school. You just need some solid training and it comes down to it, all you really need is a killer portfolio. The guys at LearnWebDevelopment.com have one of the best programs I’ve seen that will provide that training.

Only 41% of college grads find a job in their desired field within three years of graduating. And when you study web design at a traditional school, the course material is almost always dated. So when you get your degree, it’s in the previous generation of design. Not too useful.

The thing I really like about LWD is that they provide live online classes, one-on-one support and recorded video training. They teach next-generation methods on the hottest design platforms. You’re not just learning how to make a website. You’re learning how to run a design company which is awesome.

A few weeks ago we published a tutorial How to Design a Blue Marketing Company Layout in Photoshop. Our friends at SnobbySlice have taken that design, coded it, and made it available for free download. The template includes the homepage design that was created for the tutorial, as well as a secondary page that can be used for the other pages on the site.
