Freebie: Rust Texture Pack

I’ve been wanting to start giving away some original freebies from this site for a while, and today is the first one! This is a pack of 10 rust textures that I photographed this week. Each one is shown below. You can get any of them from Flickr (click on the images below). Most of them have a resolution of 2560 x 1920.
You are free to use these textures for personal or commercial purposes. The only restriction is that they cannot be re-distributed. Since this is my first time giving away textures, if you have any suggestions or feedback, please leave a comment.

Is this for real. Why is it Art? Maybe I’m missing something, but I really didn’t like the pix. Are they used to make 3ds or digital work? Peace Marie

It’s not art. Textures can be used in graphic design (working with Photoshop or a similar program). See sites like http://www.lostandtaken.com/, http://www.grungetextures.com/, and http://www.highresolutiontextures.com/.
omg do I ever feel stupid, and I make fractal art on the computer. I should have known. Maybe I’ll try to do some myself. Thanks and Peace Marie

Wow!! This is an amazing resource…I never knew rust can be used so beautifully..Any of these would look great as a website background…The chain one and the last two pictures are my favorites…This list shows that anything around us can be used as a resource for designing, only we need to have the observation power and the eye for the unconventional…Thanks for sharing this amazing list….
