Great advice. Also remember that being a designer is a ‘role’ in your life. It’s not completely you. So if you have a real crap day, it’s a crap day as a designer. You are still a human that matters.

Hope that’s not too fluffy, it’s just that many of us take all this too seriously. When we relax, that’s where some of the confidence will start to build.

This is great advice for any freelancer starting out, and to the seasoned veteran that want’s to stay on track.

For me, number 9 – develop a strong network, made all the difference. Taking the best parts from the “enterprise”, which is teamwork and size, and apply it to your own freelance network. Roadmap to success? It worked for me.

Sound advice. I too am working full time as a designer and freelancing in my own time. Sometime’s it’s hard to keep motivated when spending so much time infront on a screen but I’m always interested in learning.
