When you have a boss who is telling you what to do this is not usually an issue, but working independently it's all up to you. Like you, I think I benefit from not having the typical office distractions, but I need to make sure I know what needs to be done, otherwise I wind up spending time on things that aren't that important and I'm much less productive.
