Typography is undoubtedly one of the most important aspects of web and graphic design. A current trend in web design is to use oversized text, often in headers. In this post we’ll showcase 30 websites that make excellent use of big, beautiful typography.

Awesome. I love big typography. Some people get carried away with it, but all in all I think it can be real good looking. And these people listed here aren’t novices by any stretch.
A lot of nice work shown here. I’m a fan of large typography. It gets the point across nicely in a bold yet elegant way. Thanks for sharing.
Big letters look quite great in the modern web designs.
Oh nice! I really liked the design of 24WAYS….
Boooo, you forgot mine – http://www.joeldelane.com. But still this is an awesome post, thanks !! 🙂
Surely, big typography is a trend right now, and I like it.
This showcase however consists of websites that, for a great deal, we’ve been able to see already in so many similar showcases.
great round up. the Jeroen Homan site is a bit of a beaut : )
Big letter are great and the effects made on them are greatest effort..
very nice collection… Looking for many of them..
What a great talent you have presented here. Great Collection.
wow we haven’t seen this post 7,000 times. All the same site too, original…
Love it ! Thanx.
Some great sites here, but I’m amazed to see predominantly text based websites in Flash ?!?!? Is it just me, or is that weird….

fantastic web design work… It’s usually very hard to make a site look good with just typography!
Really impressive collection of website designs and great examples to follow! Thank you for the nice article
Great collection love it, big font and words can have a great effect. But interms of content on pages I generally use a cufon of a nice clean, rounded san-sarif font for titles, other then that good old arial. Cufon has made this possible, I would never use a font other then Arial or Times without cufon.
Matt shared this link with me when we were debating this style for my website, I do love this ‘big typography’ idea and it seems to be the ‘big popular thing’ at this point in time.
Im going to pass this on to my designer who is working on a new site for me, I really like some of these ‘big’ fonts and this style of typography! Thanks.
