Font Review: Chalk Hand Lettering Pack
Every once in awhile a new font comes along that simply begs for the spotlight. The Chalk Hand Lettering font pack, which includes all 3 versions of the font face, is one that is definitely worthy of review.
Web and Desktop Versions
Chalk fonts are excellent for a vintage look, educational designs, youthful designs, and even holiday creations. However, many chalk fonts are only available for print use. While chalk font in print designs look amazing, websites or online advertisements using chalk typography can really stand out. The Chalk Hand Lettering font styles come in both web and desktop versions.
Variant 1: Chalk Hand Lettering
The first style that comes in the pack is the actual lettering and numbers. The letters flow together seamlessly and a large number of glyphs for nearly any language is included. The style is script, almost like what you would see on a chalkboard in an old classroom written by the teacher in his or her flawless penmanship. The numbers have beautiful curves and curly q’s in the design.
Variant 2: Chalk Hand Lettering Shaded
This style comes with the exact same glyphs as the first style, except that they are shaded. With each letter and number perfectly custom shaded, no extra shading effect on your part is needed. The shading gives the font a bit more of a grunge look and feel. Both the shaded and un-shaded versions would look stunning both on a website or as the headline for postcards when printing.
Variant 3: Chalk Hand Elements
The final variant is a collection of banners, artistic graphics, and other style elements that you can add to the letters to create a unique look. For instance, a 50% Off offer could really stand out inside of a vintage chalk banner. Or add extra emphasis to your headline with a beautifully extended swoop on the final letter of a word.
The Chalk Hand Lettering and Elements font pack is available on FontsCafe.com for $79 apiece for desktop and web versions. If you are a FontsCafe Subscriber, then you can also download the chalk effect pattern and tutorial used to create this font.
