There are currently two posts on this blog showcasing excellent work from various designers in the area of digital painting (40 Incredible Digital Painting Portraits and 40 Amazing Digital Painting Portraits - Part 2). If you have been inspired or intrigued by these images, today I'd like to feature 25 tutorials that will help to show how you can do this yourself. Today we're giving away a pack of 4 textures. These textures include dirt, pebbles and cracks. They're ideal for creating a grungy style of design and they're free for personal or commercial use. The photos were taken a few weeks ago at a baseball field. There were piles of dirt and pebbles that had weathered the winter and seemed like a great opportunity for getting some crack textures. You can get any of the textures individually from Flickr (click on the photos), or download all of them in a zip file at the end of the post.
Today we present the fourth addition of the Designer Showcase series, and this time Franz Jeitz of Fudgegraphics is featured. At Fudgegraphics Franz publishes a lot of great content, including freebies like Photoshop brushes (see his recent set of ink scribble brushes). As you will see below, Franz has some excellent wallpaper and poster designs in his portfolio, so hopefully it will be a source of inspiration for you.
