CSSmatic is a slick new site that just launched last week. It’s a free toolkit that can help you save time (and money) by automatically creating the endless and complex codes that you used to have to write manually in order to apply graphic elements to your websites.

Developed using JavaScript and it allows the user to create interesting types of effects, to copy the necessary code and simply paste it in the website’s script. The graphic effects available are: gradients, borders design styles, noise textures and shadows. It was built by veteran developers, Alejandro Sánchez Blanes (freepik.com) and Joaquín Cuenca (Panoramio and thumbr.it) so it seems to have a solid foundation.

What I like most about this is the gradient generator tool. It helps you create gradients with multiple colors and opacities in the purest Photoshop-style. You can even change the color scheme or the brightness of the final result due to the sophisticated color algorithms.

The border radius tool lets you create text boxes with rounded borders, making it possible to determine the radius of each corner, and the colors of each region.

The noise texture tool is an easy way to add trendy noisy textures to your backgrounds.

The box shadows helps you complete the design. You can control the shadows length, blur radius or color. You can add an outline or inset shadow effect to a text box.

I’ve added it to my bookmarks. Feel free to check it out and it and don’t forget to send them your feedback so they can continue to develop it.
