Follow DesignM.ag on Facebook!

Yes, I know…It seems we are late to the Facebook “fan” game. For the loyal DesignM.ag readers you will recall that we had a page several months back that was used as a job board. This idea seemed brilliant at the time but after realizing it was taking a ton of resources and we were getting very little participation we canned it. So now we are back with a regular fan page that will keep you up to date on what is going on with the DesignM.ag community.

Why start one now? That is a very good question Brant. Yesterday, out of the blue, the official Adobe Photoshop fan page featured our recent post on 650+ Free Photoshop Patterns on their wall. After seeing an enormous surge in traffic and viewing the 900 “likes” and nearly 150 comments I started to wonder why we are not promoting on Facebook. After all, we promote like crazy on the pages of Google, Twitter, RSS, and Smashing Network. So here we are starting a traditional fan page.

  • As you know, facebook can not be login in China, but we usually take gladder as a way to login, so i will follow you! In fact, in China, we login xiaonei, qq zone and kaixin001 much more than facebook and myspace.

  • i like facebook, but i can not login it. the verify email can not tranfer to my email, why?

The link is nog working for me.

  • It proved to be Very helpful to me and I am sure to all the commenters here! It’s always nice when you can not only be informed, but also entertained! I’m sure you had fun writing this article.

  • Some users outside of the USA might have to go to their Country’s URL for Facebook to login. Sorry for the confusion.

  • Just follow you:)

  • Just “liked” the page guys. Keep up the good work!

P.S. – strange thing. When I clicked the link you provided in the article, it kept taking me to the EDIT page for my own Fan Page. Very weird! The link looks like it has the “manage” info in the url?

It might have been because I was logged in? Even when I logged in out and tried to use that link, when I finally did log in to actually “like” the page, it still took me to my own Edit Page area. Strange.

Finally, I switched to another browser (firefox, originally I was using Safari on the Mac) , grabbed the link and was able to Like the page. Possibly anyone with their own fan page might have this issue?

Oh well, I eventually got to it. Again, thanks for all the hard work!

You need to look at the url again, it keeps taking me to my own page!!

When I search for you in the search box, it only comes up with the job page.
