21 Unique Ways To Show Off Your Business Cards

Most people hide away their business cards in their suit pocket, bag, wallet or sometimes a generic boring business card holder. However, there are more unique and creative ways you can keep your cards safe, while showing them off so you stand out from the rest!

Business cards are an essential part of your brand; the design, messaging and feel of the card are all signals that help communicate your identity, so why hide them away? If you’re at a conference, particularly when on a stand, it’s fun to show off a little.

In this post we take a look at some fun, unique and creative ways to display, advertise and show off your cards that reach out and grab people’s attention. Not all will work in the real world, but it helps to get creative juices flowing by considering the unique concepts (and the inspiring pictures) out there…

  1. These examples are fascinating! So much effort and time is dedicated to the creation of the cards themselves that the case that holds them can be sorely overlooked. I know in my case at least, this is true.

As is clear from this range of holders, there is a vast scope of different ways to compliment the cards. Perhaps as much thought should go into them as the cards themselves to really promote yourself in the best possible light.

A couple of my personal favourites are the ‘Big Blue Blog Robot Holder’ and the ‘MacBook Pocket Mirror Card Holder’. For just the playfulness and the unique look themselves, these really stand out as different styles that appeal to me.

The only negative I can think to mention with these though is the portability. Granted, most are fine and could be whipped out at the drop of a hat, however some just aren’t feasible options to carry around. Then again, they could simply be for display purposes.

  2. These are great. I’d have to say the Nintendo holder is one of my favorites. The Yellow Pages card holder is genius since you get them all the time and I never seem to use them. Fascinating article.

  3. Finally somebody finds a way to actually use the yellow pages! My inner geek needs the Nintendo holder for sure 🙂

  4. Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

There’s nothing wrong with replacements si king as they have the capabilities.

  5. A great collection, thanks for sharing it.

I liked much ‘Recycled Yellow Pages Card Holder’,
    it was simple and practical.

  6. The advice here is excellent. One of the biggest mistakes I see concerns readability. Many designers try to use type over art, or even color, while paying little attention to whether it can be read or not.
